A conference took place in New Orleans last month exploring the links between music and endangered languages. Here is a paper presented at the conference that examines links between a revival in devotional music among young Muslims and language maintenance.
Heavenly Acts II. The next symposium of our partner network ‘Heavenly Acts’, ‘Language, Performance and Identity in Faith Contexts’, takes place on Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 March 2016 at the University of Roehampton in London.
